‘Yogasanam’ is one of the best yoga books in Tamil. It was written by Geetha Sambasivam. This book clearly describes the different types of yoga asana exercises.

‘Yoga’ is different; ‘Yogasanam’ exercises are different. Yogasanam exercises are the basic first step to lead us to yoga. We can do the right thing only if the mind and body cooperate together in the yogasanam.


Yoga is all about asanas. We use that word to refer to asana exercises. We do physical exercise fast. In this, the asana exercises should be done slowly. In addition there are separate asanas for each body parts to reduce it or to get weight loss is the initial stage. With this asana practice, those who have done yoga will be called ‘Yoga-Bishak’.

Active and Flexible

They say that the severity of our disease is reduced by sight and touch. It is beneficial to practice these asanas from an early age. The Yoga exercisers body will be strong and flesh will be tight. This asana exercise will keep the body physically active and flexible. The body will be refreshed.

Good Time for Exercises

The perfect time to do yogasanasm is between 4am and 6pm in the morning. From 5.30pm to 7pm in the evening. This is what my yoga-guru said. However, it is definitely better not to do it until three hours after sunrise and one hour before sunset.
